Introduction of  the wet alarm valve

Before we introduce the wet alarm valve, we should learn the Wet Pipe Sprinkler Systems, It constantly contains water in them, which allows for a quick reaction to a fire and is the most common type of sprinkler system installed in buildings(high-rise or office building with a few floors). This sprinkler system is cost efficient and low maintenance.

Wet Alarm Check Valve is the core device in wet pipe sprinkler systems. It serves a dual purpose which prevents a reverse flow of water (non-return) and also activates the use of the water motor alarm. Meanwhile, in the event of variable pressure conditions, false alarm is prevented with provision of retard chamber at the external bypass.

The installation type can be flange or groove type.

How does it work

It is opreated with flow indicator, signal valve, pressure switch, sprinklers etc. to constitute a widely used wet automatic fire extinguishing system. The system is always standing by with pressure water suffusing the pipes, activated automatically when a fire breaks out and the sprinklers function.

Advantage: It can put out fire timely with high efficiency.

Disadvantage: the pipes are always filled with pressure water, so it may destroy the indoor environment if the pipe leaks, thus this system is applicable to temperature range 4ºC~70ºC(39.2F~158F), or it may freeze or leak.
